In observance of contract negotiations past and present, its absolutely obvious that Katrina and Dave Todd are much different than their predecessors. I implore anyone to give a factual instance of wrong doing by either of them. That having been said, I am a member in good standing with my Union Local 1433. I do not support the negative accusations made by supposed "Union Members" on this blog. What I do support is reclaiming the integrity of this profession. We get $300 a year for uniforms, and the majority don't use it for the purpose it's intended. There are operators that look homeless. We asked for first sick day paid in the last negotiations, got it, and have spent the last 3 years using it to cripple the scheduling process. If you don't like the debit card proposal, be responsible and open an account with a credit union. The reasoning for its implication makes perfect sense. The union is currently suggesting that we vote no on this offer, but they're not saying why. Unless someone can tell me specifically, and intelligently why we should vote it down, I will vote to accept this proposal. My name is Richard Lea. likewise Well put

one thing I must say is this I'm not a Member but that is something all together different if you guys know anything about negotiations than you would know if you're handed a best and final that means that the Company or the Employer has given you what they are will to give and no more once the best and final offer has come from the Company or Employer the negotiation is over with because you don't give a best and final if you plan on negotiating more the best and final is what it says there best and final offer if it was not the best and final than why put that on it than the Company tells us they are willing to negotiate but how can that be when you give this to the Union which the Union must take it back to the Operator's to vote on if the Company was willing to negotiate more they would not have given a best and final.

Why the two tier pay system? Do you think some employees should get more than others?

As per your right to do so just don't criticize others for trying to a better life for them selves

Why the two tier pay system? Do you think some employees should get more than others? Thank you for the question. Actually, the pay system is not a "two tier" system technically. The pay structure is the same that was in the existing labor agreement. The structure is that with employees hired after March 15, 2012, it just takes an extra year to get to the top rate. This was agreed to in the last contract. People who have been hired since that time have all been made aware before accepting the job what the wage structure is and they accepted the job on those terms.

The vacation time earned for someone who was hired after March 2012 is different too should it match what others get ?

I would like to know who exactly counted the votes and is there a neutral party to verify the results? You all just screwed yourselves.

I guess everyone stopped asking questions There seems to be so much confusion about misinformation regarding the company's offer. Please feel free to keep asking questions. It is important to know the facts and not rely on hearsay.
